I thought it would be interesting to take a snapshot of my first couple weeks of stats on Google Analytics.  So far, this week I had 8 visitors.  Don't know who or why or what brought you here, but I'm glad you came!

I wonder how things will change as time progresses.  If I think about it I'll try to take occasional snapshots and post them.

FTP - File Transfer Protocol is a web developer's means of uploading files to a web server.

All web designers/developers must FTP at some point, but the tools we use can make or break the experience.  I have found Smart FTP has out done my expectations for an FTP application.  You can try it for 30 days, but even the  $36 price is well worth what you get... in my opinion.

Inevitably you may come across the need to compare two different versions of the same file.  Doing this with the naked eye is difficult and error prone.

A Diff Tool is designed to assist in this task.  I have used a few different Diff Tools, but I have found DiffMerge to be my recent favorite.  It allows you to select two different filesin Windows Explorer by selecting both files and then right-clicking.  In your menu there is an option to compare the two files.  You see the files side by side and you can copy from one side to the other.   Oh and... it's free.  But, don't take free for granted.  If you like it, donate to it so the project stays alive and available.
